Nearly $1 million for the Mason County Airport
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that Mason County has received a grant of nearly $1 million from the U.S. Transportation Department for improvements to the Mason County Airport.
The $952,746 grant will be used to rehabilitate the apron.
More than $2.5 million for the Greenbrier Airport Authority
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that the Greenbrier County Airport Authority has received a grant of more than $2.5 million from the U.S. Transportation Department for improvements to the Greenbrier Valley Airport.
The $2,546,117 grant will be used to build a taxiway and rehabilitate the apron.
More than $1 million to reduce backlog, ensure justice for victims
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) has helped secure a $1,170,800 grant for the West Virginia Division of Justice and Community Services from the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative.

$130,000 to help students in Cabell, Wayne, Wyoming
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that the Jobs for West Virginia’s Graduates program has received a $130,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission to help high school students in Cabell, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) honored the life of Tuskegee Airman and Beckley resident John Watson Jr., who passed away Aug. 31 at the age of 96. Rep. Jenkins spoke on the House floor Wednesday to pay tribute to Watson’s service.
“No baby deserves to start his or her life in withdrawal from heroin and other opioids.”
