REP. JENKINS: SUPREME COURT HOLD IS VICTORY FOR WEST VIRGINIA
February 9, 2016
Press Release
“The Supreme Court just put the brakes on the EPA’s cornerstone anti-coal regulation.”
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) issued the following statement on the U.S. Supreme Court’s stay of the EPA’s new regulation on coal-fired power plants:
“This administration is using every regulation possible to put our hardworking coal miners in the unemployment line, but the Supreme Court just put the brakes on the EPA’s cornerstone anti-coal regulation. This action is a major victory for West Virginia, and we will continue the fight in both the courts and in Congress. I thank West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey for leading the charge on this issue, and together we will use every tool possible to give hope to our coal miners and protect West Virginia’s jobs.”
