REP. JENKINS CONNECTS GREEN BANK COMMUNITY WITH NSF

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) held a call on Tuesday with the Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Council and the National Science Foundation to discuss paths forward to keep the Green Bank Observatory open and operational.

“The Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Council is committed to keeping the Green Bank Observatory fully open and operational. This call allowed the National Science Foundation to hear directly from the GVEDC about this important asset and the community’s full support for Green Bank. We also discussed how the NSF can continue to engage with the community about the future of the observatory and make sure people’s voices are heard and considered. I continue to remain optimistic about the future of Green Bank and the proposals in place for the observatory’s future,” Rep. Jenkins said.
