REP. JENKINS ANNOUNCES FAYETTE COUNTY HEAD START GRANT
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that Fayette County Child Development has received a $2,191,416 Head Start and Early Head Start grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Fayette County Child Development provides Head Start and Early Head Start programs at no cost to Fayette County families.
“Every child in West Virginia deserves the best education possible. I am proud to support Head Start, which empowers families and educates children from all walks of life. I have visited Head Start classes in my district and seen firsthand the wonderful work that teachers and staff are doing with students and parents alike. This significant grant will allow Fayette County Head Start to change the lives of thousands of students, and I offer them my sincere congratulations on receiving this multi-million dollar grant,” Rep. Jenkins said.
