REP. JENKINS ANNOUNCES $21 MILLION FOR WV HIGHWAYS
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that West Virginia is receiving more than $21 million in federal funds to repair roads and highways.
The $21,984,640 in Federal Highway Administration funds will help the West Virginia Department of Transportation repair and rebuild highways and roads throughout the state.
“Many roads throughout West Virginia are in very poor shape. Potholes plague many of our roads after the long winter, and heavy rains have washed out many roads and bridges. As go the roads, so go the jobs – and these funds will help ensure better, safer roads for West Virginians,” Rep. Jenkins said.
These funds were included in the recently passed government funding bill and are available until Sept. 30, 2021.
