REP. JENKINS ANNOUNCES $100K FOR MARSHALL UNIVERSITY
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that Marshall University has received $100,000 in funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration for its University Center Economic Development Program.
The funds will fund the fifth year of the five-year program, which provides technical assistance and tools to spur regional economic development, promote entrepreneurship, diversify the economy, and increase regional competitiveness.
“Marshall University plays a critical role in the Tri-State area, investing in our community and attracting new employers. The University Center Economic Development Program at Marshall supports entrepreneurs and generates economic development, bringing much-needed jobs to the region. I am proud to support the university’s efforts and its investments in our community,” Rep. Jenkins said.
