WASHINGTON – Federal agencies have misused taxpayer dollars to lobby on behalf of their regulations, despite a ban on such activities, U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) said.
“Agencies cannot use taxpayer funds to lobby Congress on rules and regulations,” Rep. Jenkins said on the House floor during debate on a new bill to address this issue.
